MediCalls editorial policy covering sourcing, responsible health writing, AI-assisted workflow, review claims, advertising separation and corrections.

MediCalls aims to publish useful, understandable and responsible general health education. This policy describes the standards we want our public content to follow.

Editorial principles

  • Explain the topic clearly before giving context or next-step questions.
  • Do not present general information as a personal diagnosis, prescription or guaranteed outcome.
  • Avoid miracle-cure language, unsupported health claims and exaggerated certainty.
  • Separate editorial content from advertising and commercial calls to action.
  • Use descriptive headings and substantial explanations rather than thin or keyword-stuffed pages.
  • Correct meaningful mistakes and update material when appropriate.

Research and sources

For health topics, editors should prefer established public-health agencies, recognized medical institutions, professional organizations, laboratory or test guidance and reputable patient-information resources. Sources should be relevant to the specific claim being made, not added merely for appearance.

Automation and AI-assisted workflow

Software or AI tools may assist topic planning, drafting, formatting, summarization, image creation or scheduling. Use of a tool does not remove editorial responsibility. Content should be checked for duplication, unsupported claims, internal contradictions, outdated information and misleading wording before publication.

Medical review claims

MediCalls should not label content as “medically reviewed,” display professional credentials or imply specialist endorsement unless a real qualified reviewer has actually completed the review and the reviewer can be identified accurately.

Advertising independence

Advertising, when enabled, should be clearly distinguishable from editorial material and should not be positioned to encourage accidental clicks. Advertisers do not receive the right to rewrite independent editorial conclusions merely because they purchase advertising.

Updates and corrections
